2011 ST PETERSBURG & KIZHI

VERSION THREE – Everything (11 DAYS 10 NIGHTS)

 

DAY 1

Arrival in St.Petersburg by BA, transfer to Hotel "Nevsky Dvorik", centrally located and with easy access to underground station, as well as to Nevsky Avenue - main street of the city, accommodation, diner, o/n in the hotel

 

DAY TWO

MORNING –  General bus SIGHTSEEING TOUR around the city, including Peter & Paul Fortress and St. Isaak Cathedral.

AFTERNOON – Visit Peter & Paul Fortress, the Church on the Spilled Blood.  Also Peter’s Cabin (With or without guide – to be discussed.)

 

DAY THREE

MORNING – Guided visit to The HERMITAGE – must see the State Rooms in the Winter Palace, and if possible one or more of the collections.

AFTERNOON – Time at Leisure.  Those who wish could return to the Hermitage (no guide).  Other options – explore other parts of city, eg Nevsky Prospekt, shopping, canal trip, etc.

 

DAY FOUR

ALL DAY – PETERHOF – All day will be dedicated to a visit of Peterhof - summer residence of Russian Royal family. You will admire a unique beauty of the main palace, lower park and other attractions of the place.  After the tour - return to hotel for dinner and o/n

 

DAY FIVE

ALL DAY – Trip to Repino on the Gulf of Finland, an area of lakes, pine-scented forests and sandy beaches.  Visit the extraordinary dacha of Ilya Repin, one of Russia’s greatest artists. 

 

DAY SIX

ALL DAY – TSARSKOE SELO/PUSHKIN

Visit the Catherine Palace, and/or the Alexander Palace, etc.

 

DAY SEVEN

MORNING – Visit to the RUSSIAN MUSEUM – you will visit the famous Russian Museum in St.Petersburg to enjoy its amazing art collection.

AFTERNOON – Visit to Craft Market / time at leisure.

EVENING – Transfer to Cruise Ship, departure 1900 hours.

 

DAY SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE

Cruise.  Please fill in itinerary.

 

DAY TEN

0800 hours return to St Petersburg.  Morning at leisure before transfer to airport and departure.
